BIfA is an application oriented innovator, which offers taylor-made solutions of environmental problems out of one hand. We cover all necessary tasks beginning from feasibility studies and development up to the delivery and start of operation of a turn-key plant or system. Our competence profile reaches from environmental chemistry and biotechnology, process engineering, plant construction, systems engineering up to information technology and economics. One of our aims is the optimization of preventive and end-of-life environmental protection.

BIfA is a non-profit oriented and independent organization in Augsburg/Bavaria. The shareholders of BIfA are the Free State of Bavaria, the town of Augsburg and the chamber of commerce in Swabia. BIfA is equipped with laboratories, a pilot plant hall and an outdoor experimental site.
